Onward App
Onward’s mission is to create a measurable, goal setting experience for people who wish to track their long term progress, connect with others, and develop accountability.
The target audience would primarily be 20 to 30 year-olds seeking guidance and accountability to achieve goals they put off or did not know how to pursue in successful ways.
Onward would allow users to track their progress for the goals they wish to pursue in addition to connecting with others who share similar goals, offering support and networking opportunities.
Features
Features include messaging among members, homefeed view of followers’ progress, search option, and tracking progress per goal.
Research
When working with Non-Linear Design, often referred to as User Experience or XD, one must consider what is possible. The research process required an understanding of the target user audience, the necessary interactions, and the alternative methods of solving problems.
A flowchart is a type of diagram that represents a workflow or process. A flowchart can also be defined as a diagrammatic representation of an algorithm, a step-by-step approach to solving a task.The flowchart shows the steps as boxes of various kinds, and their order by connecting the boxes with arrows.
The Onward flowchart reflects the features that have to be considered within for functionality.
Wireframe
In mobile app development, wireframing is a schematic blueprint; a visual guide that represents the app layout, the flow between the screens and its functional representation informed by your business objective.
Logo
The completed logo of Onward reflects both the abstraction of a bird and a checkmark. The positive notion of a bird flying upward combined with a swift checkmark aligns with the intention of the Onward App.

Brand Identity
The iconography consists of symbols that represent the various navigation options the user may take. Icons have to maintain system that is consistent with the logo to feel like a family.
From left to right the icons symbolize the following: the Homefeed, Add Posts/Videos/Goals, Search, Messaging, and the User Profile.
